Fundraising Strength Comes on Heels of Growing Endorsements from Democratic Leaders around the Commonwealth
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Senator Aaron Rouse’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia is charging into the final stretch of the Democratic primary with strong momentum and a commanding financial position. The campaign announced more than $925,000 cash on hand and a Q1 fundraising haul of nearly $400,000 — bringing the total raised since launching his race for Lieutenant Governor to nearly $1.2 million.
“Aaron Rouse has led his team to victory on the biggest stages – whether that’s under the glare of NFL stadium lights, standing up to Donald Trump and Elon Musk or fighting for Virginia families as a City Councilman and State Senator,” said Ryan Jackson, Campaign Manager for Rouse for Virginia. “This fundraising strength is a reflection of the energy and grassroots support behind Aaron’s campaign and his bold vision for the Commonwealth.”
Rouse’s candidacy is backed by a broad and diverse coalition across the Commonwealth. He is proud to have the endorsements of more than 100 state and local leaders, including more members of the Virginia General Assembly and more members of the Legislative Black Caucus than any other candidate in the race. He’s proud to be endorsed by former Congresswoman Elaine Luria, Senate President Pro Tempore L. Louise Lucas, Senate Democratic Caucus Chair Mamie Locke and former Majority Leader Dick Saslaw.
