Rouse reports more than a $115,000 advantage over the other candidates in the Democratic primary
VIRGINIA BEACH – Today, Senator Aaron Rouse released his financial report for the second half of 2024, reporting $665,000 cash on hand, more than $115,000 more than any of the other candidates in the Democratic primary. Rouse has raised a total of $785,000 since announcing his campaign. This cash advantage gives Senator Rouse further momentum heading into 2025 to build a robust organizing and communications strategy to win the Democratic primary and take back the Lieutenant Governor’s gavel in November.
The support comes from hundreds of supporters across the Commonwealth who know Senator Rouse understands how to build a strong, diverse coalition of voters, win tough races, and deliver a stronger future for all Virginians.
Senator Rouse made the following statement:
“I am grateful and humbled by the support we have received from hundreds of people who have contributed to our campaign. We are building a campaign that can and will win. The momentum we continue to build will allow us to communicate with voters effectively across Virginia and build a winning coalition who, like me, believe for too long that the old Virginia way has left too many behind. It’s time for a new way forward!”
Rouse also enters the election year with endorsements from top Virginia leaders, including Senate President L. Louise Lucas, Senate Democratic Caucus Chair Mamie Locke, former Senate Democratic Leader Dick Saslaw, and more – a testament to his track record of winning on the biggest stages.
