Rouse for Virginia is seeking a dynamic and experienced campaigner to serve as Regional Political Director through the June 2025 Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor. The Regional Political Director will be responsible for assisting the Organizing Director and Campaign Manager in the implementation and execution of the petition program and developing and maintaining relationships with elected officials, grassroots and coalition leaders to build support across the Commonwealth.
In conjunction with the Organizing Director and Campaign Manager, the Regional Political Director will:
- Oversee all direct voter contact efforts from ballot access through early vote and GOTV. Primarily responsible for obtaining petitions and political outreach in the Northern Virginia region.
- Build and maintain political relationships with elected officials and grassroots leaders.
- Identifying community events and voter outreach opportunities
- Developing resources and systems to track and report weekly goals, as well as maintaining data integrity.
- Planning, building, and executing successful campaign events and roll outs.
- Staffing the candidate at events and meetings; when the candidate is not available, attend as representative of the campaign.
Core Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Self-driven and team-oriented, with the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and non-traditional work environment
- Experience in a trusted position on a competitive campaign
- Ballot access experience a plus, but not required
- Willingness to work nights and weekends
- Access to a smartphone, computer, car and possession of a valid driver’s license
