Congratulations to Virginia Beach City Councilman Aaron Rouse for being named the 2022 Harvey L. Lindsay, Jr. Changemaker Honoree.
Rouse is a changemaker living out his mission to provide, protect and produce greatness for Virginia Beach. Rouse began his career in public service after retiring from the NFL, serving as a coach and a mentor before founding Rouse’s House, a nonprofit focused on youth education. As a Virginia Beach City Councilman, Rouse continues to be a catalyst for change through involvement with SOMETHING IN THE WATER, CIVIC Leadership Institute, North End Run Club, and by serving as City Council Liaison to the City of Virginia Beach – Minority Business Council, and the Transportation District Commission (Hampton Roads Transit).
